Hi, my name is Michael Jarnebro, and I am Vigilant Proofreader. I have two bachelor’s degrees in philosophy, political science, and international studies from Southern Illinois University Carbondale (and a nugget of law school) under my belt. In my free time, I practice taekwondo, play guitar, go camping, and experiment with creative writing.

I decided to become Vigilant Proofreader because I always found myself correcting my own work too early (as a writer, it’s not advisable; as a proofreader, ’tis vigilant). As a former paralegal, the proofreading and editing of the massive documents I sifted through (and wrote) was my favorite part of the job. I like being watchful—especially to avoid danger.
